In case you missed it, here is a video clip of reporter Tom Costello’s Today Show report on the new AAA Foundation study of teen drivers and distraction. In short: texting and passengers are the key distractions, and the problem is much worse than prior government estimates. Also, state laws have a long way to go to get serious about this problem. And I absolutely love the quote from my friend Peter Kissinger, president of the AAA Foundation, that “the problem is not teens being distracted from their driving by their cellphones, but driving distracting them from communicating with their friends.”
