As advertised in prior bog posts, the Hollister family, earlier this year, donated $2,500 to the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) as the Reid Hollister Scholarship, awarded to a student who has taken a leadership role in safer teen driving. As also announced previously, the winner is Marissa Kunerth, of Minnesota. But what had not occurred until this past Monday was the NOYS Distracted Driving Summit and the actual award of the scholarship to Marissa! In my absence (my day job interfered), my great friend and former NOYS Executive Director Sandy Spavone stood in for me and presented the check to Marissa, as shown in this photo.
